Sunflower meal HiPro

Sunflower seed meal is a product of sunflower oil manufacture. It is obtained by extraction and appropriate heat treatment of expeller of sunflower seeds from which all of the husks has been removed. After a rough cleaning the sunflower seed is crushed and dehulled. Subsequently the oil is pressed from the crushed and dehulled seed and extracted from the remaining expeller by the use of hexane. During the toasting process which follows the extraction the hexane is regained from the meal and the digestibility of the meal is improved. The toasted meal is dried and cooled.
